The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

क्रमागतेष्वखिन्नोऽर्थं बकवच्चिन्तयार्जय ।
अर्थोपार्जनकार्येषु वासनाक्रान्तमूढवत् ॥ ७ ॥

kramāgateṣvakhinno'rthaṃ bakavaccintayārjaya |
arthopārjanakāryeṣu vāsanākrāntamūḍhavat || 7 ||

Earn money by honest means and with the circumspection of a crane, in whatever chance presents itself before thee; and do not run in pursuit of gain, like the ignorant rabble.
