The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आविर्भावतिरोभावैर्भावाभावभवाभवैः ।
पश्चात्कारणतां यान्ति मिथः कारणकर्मभिः ॥ ७ ॥

āvirbhāvatirobhāvairbhāvābhāvabhavābhavaiḥ |
paścātkāraṇatāṃ yānti mithaḥ kāraṇakarmabhiḥ || 7 ||

The appearance or disappearance of an event or accident proceeds from causes quite unknown to us, and these afterwards become causes of the effects produced by them.
