The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.19.27

रक्ताधारा जलधयो द्वीपान्येवान्त्रवेष्टनम् ।
बाहवः ककुभः स्फारास्तारका रोमसंततिः ॥ २७ ॥

raktādhārā jaladhayo dvīpānyevāntraveṣṭanam |
bāhavaḥ kakubhaḥ sphārāstārakā romasaṃtatiḥ || 27 ||

The seas are his blood vessels, and the islands are the ligatures round his persons; his arms are the sides of the sky, and the stars are the hairs on his body.
