The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.19.18

स चाप्यपञ्चभूतात्मा पञ्चभूतात्मकोपमः ।
विराडात्मैकपुरुषः परमः परमेश्वरः ॥ १८ ॥

sa cāpyapañcabhūtātmā pañcabhūtātmakopamaḥ |
virāḍātmaikapuruṣaḥ paramaḥ parameśvaraḥ || 18 ||

He was not of the five elemental forms, but was the soul of the five element, he is called the Virat Purusha—the macrocosm of the world, and the supreme lord of all.
