The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नगरान्तर्गतोऽपश्यत्ततो जनपदं हरिः ।
नानाद्रिग्रामगोवाटपत्तनारण्यराजितम् ॥ २२ ॥

nagarāntargato'paśyattato janapadaṃ hariḥ |
nānādrigrāmagovāṭapattanāraṇyarājitam || 22 ||

Hari (the Indra) beheld from within the city, a large country extending about it, and containing many hills and villages, pasture grounds for kine, forests and human habitations.
