The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.6.41

पौरुषस्य महत्त्वस्य सत्त्वस्य महतः श्रियः ।
इन्द्रियाक्रमणं साधो सीमान्तो महतामपि ॥ ४१ ॥

pauruṣasya mahattvasya sattvasya mahataḥ śriyaḥ |
indriyākramaṇaṃ sādho sīmānto mahatāmapi || 41 ||

It is reckoned as the greatest victory, that may be won by the valour, magnanimity, and fortitude of great men, if they can but conquer the unconquerable organs of sense, which makes the utmost glory of the great.
