The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्रणताः प्रियकारिण्यः प्रह्वभृत्यसमीरिताः ।
वाद्यगेयरवोन्मिश्राः शुभशब्दश्रियः श्रुताः ॥ २२ ॥

praṇatāḥ priyakāriṇyaḥ prahvabhṛtyasamīritāḥ |
vādyageyaravonmiśrāḥ śubhaśabdaśriyaḥ śrutāḥ || 22 ||

I have listened to the endearing speeches of my friends and servants, and attended to the music of songs and instruments, to no lasting good being derived therefrom.
