The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इदं गुणावहं नेदमिति मुक्त्वा विकल्पनम् ।
रूपमात्रानुसारित्वादवस्तुन्यपि धावति ॥ १५ ॥

idaṃ guṇāvahaṃ nedamiti muktvā vikalpanam |
rūpamātrānusāritvādavastunyapi dhāvati || 15 ||

My eye-sight runs indiscriminately after all beautiful objects, without its power of considering, whether this or that is for our good or bad.
