The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

रूपालोकनलोलेन वनिताननगृध्नुना ।
सावभासेन दोषाय दुःखं नीतोस्मि चक्षुषा ॥ १४ ॥

rūpālokanalolena vanitānanagṛdhnunā |
sāvabhāsena doṣāya duḥkhaṃ nītosmi cakṣuṣā || 14 ||

My eyes which by their visual power, are ever inclined to dwell upon the sights of things, and to dote with fondness upon the face of my mistress, have been the cause of great affliction to my mind.
