The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शस्त्राघाताः प्रसह्यन्ते सह्यन्ते व्याधिवेदनाः ।
नाहमित्येवमात्रस्य सहने का कदर्थना ॥ २७ ॥

śastrāghātāḥ prasahyante sahyante vyādhivedanāḥ |
nāhamityevamātrasya sahane kā kadarthanā || 27 ||

Men may bear the strokes of weapons and suffer under the pain of diseases; and yet how is it that no body can tolerate the thought of his unegoism or extinction.
