The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.3.4

अबोधस्त्वनयोः श्रेयान्बोधो दुःखाय चैतयोः ।
तस्मात्सदेव बुद्ध्यस्व माऽसद्बुद्ध्यस्व राघव ॥ ४ ॥

abodhastvanayoḥ śreyānbodho duḥkhāya caitayoḥ |
tasmātsadeva buddhyasva mā'sadbuddhyasva rāghava || 4 ||

It is better therefore to have no knowledge of these false appearances, whose knowledge tends to our misery only; wherefore know the true reality alone, and never think of the unreal appearance.
