The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्रबुद्धस्याप्रबुद्धस्य देहिनो देहगेहके ।
आदेहं विद्यते चित्तं त्यागस्तस्य न विद्यते ॥ ३५ ॥

prabuddhasyāprabuddhasya dehino dehagehake |
ādehaṃ vidyate cittaṃ tyāgastasya na vidyate || 35 ||

The mind resides in the bodies of both rational as well as irrational beings, and in both their waking and sleeping states; it is impossible therefore, to get rid of it by any body at any time.
