Verse 7.2.13

कर्मबीजं तरोरस्य सुखदुःखफलावलेः ।
क्षणतारुण्यकान्तस्य जराकुसुमहासिनः ॥ १३ ॥

karmabījaṃ tarorasya sukhaduḥkhaphalāvaleḥ |
kṣaṇatāruṇyakāntasya jarākusumahāsinaḥ || 13 ||

Our past acts are the seeds of this tree, and our weal and woe are the fruits with which it is fraught; it is verdant with the verdure of youth for a while, and it smiles with its white blossoms of the grey hairs and the pale complexion of old age.
