The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.2.1

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
अद्वैतैक्यं विमननं शान्तमात्मन्यवस्थितम् ।
यथा पङ्कमयं सैन्यं तथा शिवमयं जगत् ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
advaitaikyaṃ vimananaṃ śāntamātmanyavasthitam |
yathā paṅkamayaṃ sainyaṃ tathā śivamayaṃ jagat || 1 ||

Vasishtha continued:—Think not of unity or duality, but remain quite calm and quiet in thy spirit and as cold hearted as the dank mud and mire, as the worlds are still with unstirred spirit of the divinity working in them.
