The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पितृपैतामहं राज्यं विगतोऽभयनिस्पृहः ।
वनवासच्छलेनेह दण्डकारण्यवासिनः ॥ ७० ॥

pitṛpaitāmahaṃ rājyaṃ vigato'bhayanispṛhaḥ |
vanavāsacchaleneha daṇḍakāraṇyavāsinaḥ || 70 ||

The fearless Rama will then forsake his uncared for paternal and ancestral realms, and under pretext of his banishment, betake himself to the Dandaka woods of foresters.
