The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.128.67

तद्वृथा मा कृथाः सर्वं शुद्धेन मनसा मुने ।
देवकार्यं चरामान्यदवतारप्रयोजनम् ॥ ६७ ॥

tadvṛthā mā kṛthāḥ sarvaṃ śuddhena manasā mune |
devakāryaṃ carāmānyadavatāraprayojanam || 67 ||

Therefore O sage, do not frustrate that object of ours, by the purity of thy mind; we have a service to perform to the Gods, and which is the cause of Rama's incarnation on earth.
