The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.128.16

व्यस्तेन च समस्तेन व्यापिना ग्रथितं जगत् ।
क्षितिं चाप्सु समावेश्य सलिलं चानले क्षिपेत् ॥ १६ ॥

vyastena ca samastena vyāpinā grathitaṃ jagat |
kṣitiṃ cāpsu samāveśya salilaṃ cānale kṣipet || 16 ||

These form the world whether they are divided or undivided from their succeeding and surrounding ones; the earth being girt by the sea, and the same by submarine fire.
