The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.127.35

साकारं भज तावत्त्वं यावत्सत्त्वं प्रसीदति ।
निराकारे परे तत्त्वे ततः स्थितिरकृत्रिमा ॥ ३५ ॥

sākāraṃ bhaja tāvattvaṃ yāvatsattvaṃ prasīdati |
nirākāre pare tattve tataḥ sthitirakṛtrimā || 35 ||

You may worship Him in some form or other, until your mind is cleared and your nature is purified; and then you can resort to the transcendent spirit of the formless Deity.
