The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शिवं सर्वगतं शान्तं बोधात्मकमजं शुभम् ।
तदेकभावनं राम सर्वत्याग इति स्मृतः ।
भावयञ्छश्वदन्तः स्वं कार्यं कर्म समाचर ॥ ११ ॥

śivaṃ sarvagataṃ śāntaṃ bodhātmakamajaṃ śubham |
tadekabhāvanaṃ rāma sarvatyāga iti smṛtaḥ |
bhāvayañchaśvadantaḥ svaṃ kāryaṃ karma samācara || 11 ||

Whose discourses are full of love and tenderness, and appropriate without any harshness; and whose speeches are suitable to the time and place in which they are delivered.
