The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्रथमायामङ्कुरितं द्वितीयायां विकासितम् ।
फलीभूतं तृतीयायामार्यत्वं योगिनो भवेत् ॥ ५६ ॥

prathamāyāmaṅkuritaṃ dvitīyāyāṃ vikāsitam |
phalībhūtaṃ tṛtīyāyāmāryatvaṃ yogino bhavet || 56 ||

The venerableness of yogis germinates in the first stage, it blossoms in the second, and becomes fruitful in the third stage of yoga.
