The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

न यज्ञतीर्थैर्न तपःप्रदानैरासाद्यते तत्परमं पवित्रम् ।
आसाद्यते क्षीणभवामयानां भक्त्या सतामात्मविदां यदङ्ग ॥ १४ ॥
na yajñatīrthairna tapaḥpradānairāsādyate tatparamaṃ pavitram |
āsādyate kṣīṇabhavāmayānāṃ bhaktyā satāmātmavidāṃ yadaṅga || 14 ||
No religious sacrifice nor wilful austerity, no charity nor pilgrimage, can lead us to that supremely holy state of human dignity; which is attainable by us only by our respectful attendance upon the godly, who have got rid of the troubles of the world.
