Yoga Vasistha [sanskrit]

223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.122.6

स्फटिकः प्रतिबिम्बेन यथा याति न रञ्जनम् ।
तज्ज्ञः कर्मफलेनान्तस्तथा नायाति रञ्जनम् ॥ ६ ॥

sphaṭikaḥ pratibimbena yathā yāti na rañjanam |
tajjñaḥ karmaphalenāntastathā nāyāti rañjanam || 6 ||

As a piece of crystal does not receive or emit any other colour in its reflection, excepting that of its pure whiteness; so the spiritualist is not imbued with the tinge of the effects of his actions.
