The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
भवतामादिपुरुष इक्ष्वाकुर्नाम भूपतिः ।
इक्ष्वाकुवंशप्रभव यथा मुक्तस्तथा श्रृणु ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
bhavatāmādipuruṣa ikṣvākurnāma bhūpatiḥ |
ikṣvākuvaṃśaprabhava yathā muktastathā śrṛṇu || 1 ||

Vasishtha said:—Know Rama, that the renowned king Ikshaku was the first founder of your race; and learn O thou progeny of that monarch, the manner in which he obtained his liberation.
