The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तत्संकल्पात्मकं चेतो यथेदमखिलं जगत् ।
संकल्पयति संकल्पैस्तथैव भवति क्षणात् ॥ १७ ॥

tatsaṃkalpātmakaṃ ceto yathedamakhilaṃ jagat |
saṃkalpayati saṃkalpaistathaiva bhavati kṣaṇāt || 17 ||

Whatever the volitive mind wills to do in this world, the same comes to take place immediately, agreeably to the type formed in its volition.
