चिन्तयन्नप्यसौ चित्तं न यदा वेद कानने ।
तदा संचिन्तयामास धियैव पितरं ययौ ॥ २३ ॥

cintayannapyasau cittaṃ na yadā veda kānane |
tadā saṃcintayāmāsa dhiyaiva pitaraṃ yayau || 23 ||

But as found it impossible to subdue his mind, as also to suppress its action and motion; he then recalled his father to his mind, and thought in himself to be got into his presence.
