The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

बृहस्पतेस्तद्गमनं नोद्वेगाय बभूव ह ।
संयोगे च वियोगे च महान्तो हि महाशयाः ॥ ११ ॥

bṛhaspatestadgamanaṃ nodvegāya babhūva ha |
saṃyoge ca viyoge ca mahānto hi mahāśayāḥ || 11 ||

Brihaspati was filled with sorrow at his departure; because it is the nature of good hearted men, to feel equal anxiety both at the union as well as the separation of their friends and inmates.
