The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इत्याकर्ण्य कचो वाक्यं पितुः परमपावनम् ।
सर्वमेव परित्यज्य जगामैकान्तकाननम् ॥ १० ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
ityākarṇya kaco vākyaṃ pituḥ paramapāvanam |
sarvameva parityajya jagāmaikāntakānanam || 10 ||

Vasishtha added:—Kacha hearing this holy dictum of his father, abandoned all his earthly properties and expectations, and left his house and went to the forest where he took his shelter.
