The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.109.26

पतितं व्यवसायिन्यस्तारयन्ति कुलस्त्रियः ।
शास्त्रार्थगुरुमन्त्रादि तथा नोत्तारणक्षमम् ॥ २६ ॥

patitaṃ vyavasāyinyastārayanti kulastriyaḥ |
śāstrārthagurumantrādi tathā nottāraṇakṣamam || 26 ||

It is the true virtue of faithful wives, to raise their fallen husbands much more than the sastras or learning, riches, the spiritual guide and his teaching, can serve to save a man from his degradation.
