The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नैनं हरन्ति ते भोगा न महत्योऽपि सिद्धयः ।
न सुखानि न दुःखानि नापदो न च संपदः ॥ ३३ ॥

nainaṃ haranti te bhogā na mahatyo'pi siddhayaḥ |
na sukhāni na duḥkhāni nāpado na ca saṃpadaḥ || 33 ||

No delight doth attract his heart, nor any excellence ever allures his soul; whose mind is not elated by pleasure or prosperity, nor depressed by pain or calamity.
