The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.108.4

इति संचिन्त्य सा रात्राविन्दावभ्युदिते वने ।
गृहीतमङ्गनारूपं कान्ता मदनिका सती ॥ ४ ॥

iti saṃcintya sā rātrāvindāvabhyudite vane |
gṛhītamaṅganārūpaṃ kāntā madanikā satī || 4 ||

With this intention she took upon her the form of the chaste Madanika, at the approach of night; and when the moon had already appeared above that forest land.
