The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नियतं किंचिदेकत्र स्थितं स्वर्गकमीदृशम् ।
शक्र गन्तुं न जानामि त्वदाज्ञां न करोम्यहम् ॥ २८ ॥

niyataṃ kiṃcidekatra sthitaṃ svargakamīdṛśam |
śakra gantuṃ na jānāmi tvadājñāṃ na karomyaham || 28 ||

O God! if it be forever to remain in one place and in the same state, what you call heaven; then pardon me for I decline to go it.
