The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तावासांचक्रतुः कान्तौ दंपती सुमुहूर्तकम् ।
अथोत्थाय ज्वलद्रत्नदीपां काञ्चनकन्दराम् ॥ ६४ ॥

tāvāsāṃcakratuḥ kāntau daṃpatī sumuhūrtakam |
athotthāya jvaladratnadīpāṃ kāñcanakandarām || 64 ||

The pair having sat there awhile, in the light of the mineral lamps, retired to their sleeping bed, which they had prepared beforehand in a secluded spot.
