The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इच्छानिच्छे फले त्यक्त्वा समन्तात्सर्ववस्तुषु ।
वयं न सेच्छा नानिच्छाः कुर्मस्तेनेदमीप्सितम् ॥ ७ ॥

icchānicche phale tyaktvā samantātsarvavastuṣu |
vayaṃ na secchā nānicchāḥ kurmastenedamīpsitam || 7 ||

I desire this that we may do as we like, without desiring or disliking anything; and be far from expecting the consequence of what we like or dislike.
