The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अज्ञास्तु सर्वक्षोभेण सुखदुःखदशाहताः ।
नियतिं यापयन्त्यङ्ग देहलक्षैर्विखण्डिताम् ॥ ४८ ॥

ajñāstu sarvakṣobheṇa sukhaduḥkhadaśāhatāḥ |
niyatiṃ yāpayantyaṅga dehalakṣairvikhaṇḍitām || 48 ||

The ignorant however, whether exposed to their states of prosperity and adversity, are always destined to undergo their effects upon their bodies.
