The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यावद्देहं यथाचारं दशास्वङ्ग विजानता ।
कर्मेन्द्रियैर्हि स्थातव्यं न तु बुद्धीन्द्रियैः क्वचित् ॥ ४४ ॥

yāvaddehaṃ yathācāraṃ daśāsvaṅga vijānatā |
karmendriyairhi sthātavyaṃ na tu buddhīndriyaiḥ kvacit || 44 ||

Again as long as we have our bodies, we must exert our bodily organs to their proper actions;and never attempt to suppress by our understanding, as it is done by many wise men.
