The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

देवपुत्र नमस्तेऽस्तु विमना इव लक्ष्यसे ।
कुम्भस्त्वं त्यज संरम्भमिदमासनमास्यताम् ॥ ३७ ॥

devaputra namaste'stu vimanā iva lakṣyase |
kumbhastvaṃ tyaja saṃrambhamidamāsanamāsyatām || 37 ||

I greet thee, O Kumbha, but why appearest thou so sad today ; thou art the son of a deity and must not be sorry at anything, but please to take thy seat here.
