The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तमालवनखण्डेषु मन्दारगहनेषु च ।
दंपती स्निग्धहृदयौ सुहृदौ तौ विरेजतुः ॥ ९ ॥

tamālavanakhaṇḍeṣu mandāragahaneṣu ca |
daṃpatī snigdhahṛdayau suhṛdau tau virejatuḥ || 9 ||

The loving pair bearing equal affection to one another in their hearts, dwelt together in mutual concord amidst the tamala woods and in the forests of the Mandara hills.
