Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथाप्राप्तेष्वनुद्वेगं कच्चित्तव मनःस्थितम् ॥ ५६ ॥

heyādeyadaśātītaṃ śāntaṃ śamasamasthiti |
yathāprāpteṣvanudvegaṃ kaccittava manaḥsthitam || 56 ||
