The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.103.29

अस्मिन्प्रयास्यतो देहे चेतसो हि मुहुर्मुहुः ।
हर्षः कोपो न संमोहो वशमेति रघूद्वह ॥ २९ ॥

asminprayāsyato dehe cetaso hi muhurmuhuḥ |
harṣaḥ kopo na saṃmoho vaśameti raghūdvaha || 29 ||

These frail bodies of mortals, are notwithstanding subject to the fits of joy and anger, and of the quickness and dulness every moment; and these, O Rama! are the seeds of repeated births, and are hard to be checked or subdued.
