The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कुम्भ उवाच ।
इति ते कथितं सर्वं शिखिध्वज महीपते ।
यथेदमुत्थितं सर्वं यथा च प्रविलीयते ॥ १ ॥

kumbha uvāca |
iti te kathitaṃ sarvaṃ śikhidhvaja mahīpate |
yathedamutthitaṃ sarvaṃ yathā ca pravilīyate || 1 ||

Kumbha continued:—I have already related to you, O prince, how have all this phenomenon of the world sprung from Brahma, and how it disappears also in him.
