The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विवृत्तधातुरत्युच्चैर्मृतोऽस्मीति विरौति यः ।
मृतिमेवागतं विद्धि जीवनं तस्य संभ्रम ॥ १५ ॥

vivṛttadhāturatyuccairmṛto'smīti virauti yaḥ |
mṛtimevāgataṃ viddhi jīvanaṃ tasya saṃbhrama || 15 ||

He who cries himself saying that he is dead, after the sinking of his pulsation; take him for the dead, and his living to be mistaken for life.
