The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.96.35

व्योम्न्येव निर्मितं शान्तं व्योम्ना सूक्ष्मतरेण च ।
यथा नभसि शून्यत्वं तथेदं जगदीश्वरे ॥ ३५ ॥

vyomnyeva nirmitaṃ śāntaṃ vyomnā sūkṣmatareṇa ca |
yathā nabhasi śūnyatvaṃ tathedaṃ jagadīśvare || 35 ||

As the subtile ether, contains the subtle element of vacuum in its bosom; so the divine soul entertains in itself, the fine spun idea of the mundane system without its substance.
