The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.94.16

परमात्मपदं क्षेत्रं क्षेत्रं मायामयस्य तत् ।
एतस्मात्प्रथमोद्भिन्नादंकुरोऽनुभवाकृतिः ॥ १६ ॥

paramātmapadaṃ kṣetraṃ kṣetraṃ māyāmayasya tat |
etasmātprathamodbhinnādaṃkuro'nubhavākṛtiḥ || 16 ||

The field of its growth is the supreme soul, which is the common source of all entities; but that field being filled with illusion, the mind is deluded to believe itself as the first born sprout springing out of this field.
