The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चित्तमेव विचित्रेहं भावाभावविलासिना ।
विवर्ततेऽर्थभावेन जलमूर्मितया यथा ॥ ४६ ॥

cittameva vicitrehaṃ bhāvābhāvavilāsinā |
vivartate'rthabhāvena jalamūrmitayā yathā || 46 ||

The mind shows its manifold aspects, and plays its many parts at will; it turns and moves in the forms of things, as the waters roll in the shapes of waves.
