The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इदं विवर्तते सर्वं चित्तमेव जगत्तया ।
देहाद्याकारजालेन बीजं वृक्षतया यथा ॥ ३७ ॥

idaṃ vivartate sarvaṃ cittameva jagattayā |
dehādyākārajālena bījaṃ vṛkṣatayā yathā || 37 ||

It is the mind which revolves incessantly in the manner of the rotatory world, and evolves itself in the form of the body and its limbs; as the minute seed displays itself in the shape of a tree and its branches and leaves.
