The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

भृगौ केवलमेतत्त्वं निरागस्कं शरीरकम् ।
मुधा क्षिपसि नो देहत्यागे तत्त्यागिता भवेत् ॥ २५ ॥

bhṛgau kevalametattvaṃ nirāgaskaṃ śarīrakam |
mudhā kṣipasi no dehatyāge tattyāgitā bhavet || 25 ||

It is in vain that you intend, to destroy this inoffensive body of yours on this rock; your quitting or getting rid of your body, does not cause your renunciation and freedom from all.
