The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.93.24

त्यक्तेनापि शरीरेण किल तामरसेक्षण ।
सर्वत्यागो न ते याति निष्पत्तिं विषमो हि सः ॥ २४ ॥

tyaktenāpi śarīreṇa kila tāmarasekṣaṇa |
sarvatyāgo na te yāti niṣpattiṃ viṣamo hi saḥ || 24 ||

Know it for certain, O lotus eyed prince! that the immolation of your body even, is not enough to make your total renouncement of all things, sarva tyaga you must know is not an easy matter.
