The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

त्यागिता स्यात्कुतस्तस्य चिन्तामप्यावृणोति यः ।
पवनस्पन्दयुक्तस्य निःस्पन्दत्वं कुतस्तरोः ॥ १४ ॥

tyāgitā syātkutastasya cintāmapyāvṛṇoti yaḥ |
pavanaspandayuktasya niḥspandatvaṃ kutastaroḥ || 14 ||

Of what avail is the abandonment of the world to one, whose mind is ever infested by his troublesome thoughts; it is impossible for a tree to be at rest, that is exposed to the tempests of the sky.
