The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

एवं विकल्पसंकल्पैश्चिरमज्ञः परामृशन् ।
न मणिग्रहणे यत्नमकार्षीन्मौर्ख्यमोहितः ॥ १५ ॥

evaṃ vikalpasaṃkalpaiściramajñaḥ parāmṛśan |
na maṇigrahaṇe yatnamakārṣīnmaurkhyamohitaḥ || 15 ||

The incredulous man hung for a long time in a state of suspense, between his certainty and uncertainty;and was infatuated by his mental blindness, that he did not even stretch out his hand to lay hold on the jewel lying open before him.
