The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चूडालोवाच ।
यथा बालः पितुर्वाक्यं मुक्तहेतूपपादनम् ।
आदत्ते हि तथैव त्वं गृहाणैतद्वचो मम ॥ ४४ ॥

cūḍālovāca |
yathā bālaḥ piturvākyaṃ muktahetūpapādanam |
ādatte hi tathaiva tvaṃ gṛhāṇaitadvaco mama || 44 ||

Chudala replied:—As a boy obeys the words of his father, knowing it to be pronounced for his certain good; so must you receive my words.
